Renee Powell

PGA, LPGA

The 2nd African-American woman to compete on the LPGA Tour and a PGA of America Hall of Famer. Today, she is the LPGA=PGA Head Golf Professional at historic Clearview Golf Club in East Canton, OH, on the first golf course designed, constructed and owned by a Black man (her father, Bill Powell.)

Oneda Castillo

LPGA

Oneda Castillo is a Master Life LPGA Teaching Professional and member of the African American Golfers Hall of Fame. She joined the LPGA in 1997.  In 2003, she became the fourth African American women golfer to achieve Class A status as an LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP).  As of 2023, she is the only African American LPGA Master Teaching Professional.

She has also played golf in all 50 states.

Maulana Dotch

PGA, LPGA

Maulana Dotch is the highly accomplished and respected General Manager of Hermann Park Golf Course in Houston, TX. She is the first African-American woman PGA Member to serve as the GM of a golf facility. In 2018, she was selected for PGA LEAD, the PGA's leadership development program created to identify, mentor and progress PGA Members from diverse backgrounds into volunteer leadership positions in the Association.

Debert Cook

Founder and Publisher, AAGD

Debert Cook is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief at African American Golfer's Digest, the nation's leading publication for avid Black golfers.

Mary Lou Crocker

PGA, LPGA
1944-2016

Mary Lou Crocker was the first woman to attend the University of Kentucky on a men's athletic scholarship in 1962. She was the youngest (at age 12) to qualify in the championship flight of the Women's Kentucky State Golf Tournament and competed on the National Amateur Circuit at 15 years old, won the MARC Equity LPGA Classic in 1973. After retiring from the LPGA Tour, she spent 15 years teaching the game to Dallas-area girls through the LBGA-USGA Girls Golf program, and was inducted into the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame in 1995.
